Ohio College Readiness
The Ohio Board of Regents in collaboration with the secondary and higher education communities have examined remediation levels at state-assisted colleges and universities and addressed concerns related to college readiness of high school graduates.
Ohio 's College Readiness Expectations (2007) are currently under revision, and are scheduled for completion in December 2012. These expectations define the knowledge and content mastery students need before they begin their first college-level credit-bearing courses.
Ohio's Statewide Policy is also under review and revision. This will be expanded to include mathematics, science, reading and writing in December 2012. Built on the foundation of the College Readiness Expectations, this policy establishes consistent practices in student placement in the state's public colleges and universities. Home Page
